Twitter Lists is a new feature just rolled out that allows you to create groups of people and view just the tweets from the people on that list. You can create a new list on Twitter by logging into your account and clicking on New List in the right sidebar.
Give your list a name, choose whether you want it to be public (other people can follow the list) or private, and click Create List.
Now simply go to the profile pages of the people you want to add to the list and you’ll see a new button called Lists. Just check the box next to the list you want to add them too.
Now to view tweets from people on the list only, go to your profile page and click on the list name in the right sidebar. Done!
Trying to figure out the purpose. Most people post on a variety of topics so it’s diificult to create a list for let’s say ‘recipes’. Like the idea, but I think I would prefer the ability to classify/sort a ‘favorite’ into a list.

Hey Nancy, you might find it more useful if you look through some Twitter directories. Personally, there are lots of people who I follow that write about only one topic, like Google or blogging, etc.
