How to Enable GodMode in Windows 7

windows 7 godmode

Using Windows 7 yet? If so, you should enable the hidden GodMode feature! It’s actually pretty cool. It lets you access all of the control panels for the entire operating system in one folder. You have to do a bit of trickery, which is explained well at CNET. It’s pretty handy, especially for people who like to change a lot of settings.

Show/Hide Windows 7 Taskbar with Keyboard Hotkey

windows 7 taskbar hide

Some users like to hide their taskbar in Windows so that their programs can use the full real estate of the screen. You can always use the auto-hide feature, but I’ve never really liked that too much because I end up moving my mouse to the bottom of the screen by accident a lot! Taskbar Hider is a nifty app for Windows 7 that lets you show/hide the taskbar with a keyboard hotkey. Much easier!

windowsblinds

Guess what!? WindowBlinds now supports Windows 7 skinning! Sweet! This program is pretty awesome and I’ve been using it for years on my XP box. It basically lets you completely change the look of Windows, including everything from the Start button to context menus and backgrounds. It’s not free, but if you like to customize the look of Windows 7, Vista, or XP, it might be worth the $20!
