Search for and listen to music using Google

leave a comment

google music search

Google is rolling out a new feature in its search results today called Music Search. Now when you search for some music-related, like a song title, artist, or album name, you’ll also see links to an audio preview of the song provided by MySpace or Lala.

You can also search the lyrics to a song, find the song, listen to it and purchase it, all links now being included in the search result pages themselves. Great way to find new music! Very cool!

find new music So you love listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers, but are kind of getting tired of the same song over and over again? Maybe you are interested in finding another band that is similar in music style, but has a different sound?

Digital Inspiration has a great guide on how to expand your music collection by using free services such as Pandora and Last.fm, which first figure out what music you like and then use advanced algorithms to find similar music.
